The taxation of termination payments

HM Revenue & Customs has consulted on proposed changes to the taxation of termination payments, due to take effect from 6 April 2018. We have produced a briefing document which outlines the proposals.

Consultations on employee benefits

Three consultations have been published which propose changes to the tax treatment of benefits in kind, including those provided via salary sacrifice, where there is an employee contribution towards the cost of a benefit, and company car taxation. We summarise the proposed changes.

In conjunction with TEAM, we are once again carrying out a benchmarking survey of recruitment businesses in the UK.

The results of the survey are a valuable annual tool for recruiters to assess the performance of their business against their peers.
