Sheryl is a partner in the High Wycombe office where she advises a wide variety of mid-tier corporate clients with turnovers ranging from £5 million to £100 million.
Her clients cover a range of sectors including service industries, construction, manufacturing and transport as well as a number of professional practices.
Sheryl’s portfolio of clients is mostly owner managed businesses where she develops a close professional relationship with the owners becoming a trusted business advisor rather than just the company’s accountant.
Sheryl also acts for a number of subsidiaries of larger overseas groups helping them to set up businesses in the UK and deal with all manner of UK compliance issues.
Sheryl believes in maintaining regular contact with her clients and enjoys advising on core business issues such as profit improvement, retaining and motivation of staff, and strategic planning for the future of the business. She also provides a range of compliance services including accounting, auditing and both corporate and personal tax.
Key experience
- Identifying tax planning opportunities for both companies and their owners, ranging from ensuring full use of available reliefs to reviewing group structures,
- Assisting in business acquisitions including helping to consolidate businesses post acquisition,
- Helping companies as they grow. In particular, advising on appropriate management and reporting structures,
- Attending regular board meetings to provide financial advice and an external perspective on business issues.
Interests
Sheryl owns two horses which she enjoys riding for pleasure and competing at local shows. She also enjoys spending time with her young niece and nephew which allows her the opportunity to act like a child.
