Regulated entities

Regulated entities

Regulated entities are subject to external regulation by bodies which impose regular reporting requirements in addition to the requirements faced by other businesses. They are also usually required to observe detailed rules on how they conduct their business. Regulated entities include those authorised for financial services, pension schemes, firms of solicitors, and utilities.

We act as lead advisers to businesses in regulated sectors. Business controllers who are trying to run a successful business and meet a complex tangle of compliance objectives need support, and we recognise this.

We can assist in all the usual accounts preparation, audit and tax compliance requirements for these businesses. In addition, we have experience of dealing with the related regulatory compliance matters. We specialise in:

  • Financial services
  • Legal sector
  • Pension schemes
  • Utilities

Our dedicated teams have developed the skills required to deal with these compliance regimes, which differ from those needed for traditional audit assignments. These skills include an understanding of how communication with regulators can be most effectively managed. We believe we offer a unique package of expertise across a number of regulated sectors.
