Description

The role

Saffery is going through a period of transition and change in the way it delivers key business and management information to its users. Most of our existing BI/MI reporting is presented to users in legacy vendor reporting platforms and SQL Server Reporting Services 2014 (SSRS). We are now in the process of migrating these reports to SSRS 2019 and PowerBI Server.

 

The responsibilities

  • Support BI related activities within the organisation.
  • Work with the IT department team in technical design and implementation of BI solutions.
  • Create and maintain SSRS reports.
  • Support ETL processes using SSIS and stored procedures.
  • Create and maintain Power BI reports.
  • Maintain and enhance the data warehouse.
  • Working with technical team to setup and maintain report security.
  • Creation of technical documentation.

 

You

  • Requires broad or specialised knowledge from advanced specialised training, work experience or a relevant degree or equivalent. May have an understanding of theoretical concepts and principles.
  • Relevant experience within specific area of work in professional services or a partnership.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to be persuasive. May need the ability to coach and motivate others.
  • Able to use judgement / experience to tackle issues and seek advice on more complex problems.
  • Strong analytical skills, based on systems and models relevant to the field of work.
  • Strong computer literacy and understanding of relevant software. Keeps up to date on all required training such as information security.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients and staff at all organisational levels.
  • High levels of commitment and ability to act when necessary.
  • Team-focused mentality, understanding that the function must work collaboratively to drive success.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to be persuasive.

Reward and Benefits 

  • A 35-hour working week with flexibility around the core hours of 10am-4pm
  • Agile working policy giving you the option to work from home for up to 2 days per week.
  • Paid overtime or time off in lieu.
  • 25 days annual leave. After 5 years’ service, the entitlement will be increased by 1 day.
  • In addition, employees are entitled to buy or sell up to 5 days holiday a year
  • Contributory pension scheme (The firm will contribute 5% of salary on a matched basis with employee from their date of joining)

  • Eligibility for the firm’s Profit-Sharing Plan that runs from October to September each year. The scheme enables staff to share in the profits of the firm. Payment is usually c£1,000. Paid in December.
  • New client referral scheme. Members of staff introducing a new client to the firm, have the potential to receive a referral payment of up to 10% of the first year’s total fees.
  • Eligibility for the discretionary bonus scheme. This is based on both individual performance and firm performance.
  • Private Medical - entitled to join on successful completion of probationary period
