Description

The role

To be the primary escalation point for the Firm's service line and client applications suite. The main contact in respect of deploying, developing, maintaining the system whilst providing support and operating business continuity, change management and release management processes.

 

The responsibilities

  • To maintain, support and be the Firm's internal expert on client-driven application suites and service line applications/systems.
  • To grow awareness and understanding of how the applications, systems and application suites are used to deliver services to our internal and external clients.
  • Ensuring availability and performance of systems and services through a process of continual improvement.

 

You

  • Requires broad or specialised knowledge from advanced specialised training, work experience or a relevant degree or equivalent. May have an understanding of theoretical concepts and principles.
  • Relevant experience within specific area of work in professional services or a partnership.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to be persuasive. May need the ability to coach and motivate others.
  • Able to use judgement / experience to tackle issues and seek advice on more complex problems.
  • Strong analytical skills, based on systems and models relevant to the field of work.
  • Strong computer literacy and understanding of relevant software. Keeps up to date on all required training such as information security.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients and staff at all organisational levels.
  • High levels of commitment and ability to act when necessary.
  • Team-focused mentality, understanding that the function must work collaboratively to drive success.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to be persuasive.

Reward & Benefits

  • A 35-hour working week with flexibility around the core hours of 10am-4pm
  • Agile working policy giving you the option to work from home for up to 2 days per week.
  • Paid overtime or time off in lieu.
  • 25 days annual leave. After 5 years’ service, the entitlement will be increased by 1 day.
  • In addition, employees are entitled to buy or sell up to 5 days holiday a year
  • Contributory pension scheme (The firm will contribute 5% of salary on a matched basis with employee from their date of joining)

  • Company car as per Managers’ Car Scheme. May opt for a company car to the value to £15,100 by sacrificing £3,611 per annum of salary. (Pro-rata for lower vehicle cost).
  • Eligibility for the firm’s Profit-Sharing Plan that runs from October to September each year. The scheme enables staff to share in the profits of the firm. Payment is usually c£1,000. Paid in December.
  • New client referral scheme. Members of staff introducing a new client to the firm, have the potential to receive a referral payment of up to 10% of the first year’s total fees.
  • Eligibility for the discretionary bonus scheme. This is based on both individual performance and firm performance.
  • Private Medical - entitled to join on successful completion of probationary period
