Description

Our Inverness office is looking for an Audit Senior to join our growing Audit department. This is a busy and varied role and would suit a qualified CA/ACA/ACCA (or equivalent qualification).

You will become a key part of a growing team, which provides a wide range of audit, advisory and accounting services to a huge range of diverse clients.

Our Audit Seniors:

  • Project manage and drive forwards the audit and accounting process, including liaising directly with senior individuals in clients’ finance teams.
  • Get actively involved in every aspect of the audit process, taking ownership of planning, fieldwork, and the completion on audit engagements, working closely with managers and partners.
  • Have the opportunity to get involved in the direction and overall running of the team
    There may also be opportunities to work on ad hoc projects e.g., department or firm wide working groups and client advisory work.

The Team

Our Audit team in Inverness, one of the fastest growing cities in the UK, advises a wide range of commercial businesses, not-for-profit organizations and charities across the Highlands & Islands. Our commercial client base ranges from large multi-national companies and groups, reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS to family businesses, many of which are owned by wealthy individuals.

The Office

The Inverness office has around seventy-five employees. The office has a mix of local and remote workers, and is a welcoming and inclusive place to work. You

The successful candidate will be expected to have responsibility for leading a range of audits. You will be responsible for supervising and coaching the work of more junior staff and liaising with tax staff, partners and clients. The role will provide a good range of work for someone with solid technical skills and a background of audit work, wishing to build on their experience in a fast-growing office that will provide opportunities for progression.

The applicant should be able to demonstrate the following skills and behaviours:

In addition to the above the individual should be organised and commercially minded. They should display a flexible, professional approach and have the confidence and ability to establish credibility with Partners and clients.

We will also consider applications from candidates that are due to fully qualify in the next few months.

  • A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (our core hours are 10-4)
