Ryan Stowers, an assistant manager in Saffery Champness’ Peterborough office, has been awarded the John Wood Medal for gaining the highest exam marks in his advisory paper on advanced corporation tax. Ryan, who has worked for Saffery Champness for two and a half years, achieved the exceptional result while completing the final paper as part of his Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification.

Ryan commented:

“I was really pleased to find out that I had passed my last CTA paper, as I had been studying for the qualification for a couple of years. To then find out I had been awarded the John Wood Medal for the candidate with the highest mark in the advisory paper on advanced corporation tax was a huge shock.

“Working in the Corporate Tax Team at Saffery Champness has given me the practical experience that I could use in my studies and proved to be incredibly valuable. I also owe a massive thanks to everybody that has supported me in my studies and in my work here at Safferys.”

Stephen Collins, Head of Saffery Champness’ Peterborough office, commented:

“We are all very proud of Ryan’s success. We do our utmost to support all of our team members in their ongoing professional development and learning. We recognise that in order to provide our clients with the very best service, we have to be home to the best and the brightest people in the industry.”
