There are currently two open consultations of interest to the charity sector; one on the revised SORP, effective from 1 January 2026, and one on financial thresholds, included within charity law.
On Wednesday 4 June, Cara Turtington and Helen Wilkie are hosting a webinar which will discuss some of the proposed changes and seek to obtain your views, to help inform our response to the consultations, which will be submitted later in June.
At the session, we will be considering:
- Leases at less than a commercial rent
- Tiered reporting in the Trustees’ report
- Additional disclosures required of charities
- Proposed changes to the size criteria
Following publication of the final document, we will be running more detailed training on the new SORP, and revisions to FRS102, in the Autumn.
