Saffery provided sell side advisory services and tax advisory services to the shareholders of Made Thought, a leading London based design branding agency, with the sale of a majority shareholding to WPP.

The transaction followed WPP’s purchase of a majority share in both Universal and Map Project Office, two other leading design agencies, in 2018. Made Thought will join Universal and Map Project office within WPP’s AKQA to create The New Standard, a new, more sophisticated and connected offering to collaborate on a ‘new age of design’.

Seb Cartwright and Fenella Martin-Redman provided support from Saffery in the deal, working across the firm’s London and Peterborough offices.
