Pete Hackleton has been appointed head of Saffery Champness’ Sports & Entertainment Practice Group.
Pete has been a partner at Saffery Champness since 2012 and his clients include international and national sport governing bodies, clubs, major venues, rights holders, other sports businesses and individuals. Pete, who is a Chartered Tax Adviser and an Associate Chartered Accountant, advises over 60 Premier League footballers on all aspects of their tax affairs. He has previously been listed as one of Accountancy Age’s ‘Top 35 under 35’ and Taxation Magazine’s ‘Top 40 under 40’.
Pete will work closely with partners across the UK and in overseas offices in Dublin, Guernsey, Geneva, Zurich and Dubai, as well as with the Nexia network, of which Saffery Champness is a UK member.
Pete regularly speaks at industry conferences about the key tax issues in sport. He has also had articles published in Taxation, Tax Journal and Accountancy Age, and has been quoted in the press and been interviewed on the BBC (TV and radio) and Sky Sports News.
