David Melloy has joined Saffery as Head of Client Development, a newly created role designed to drive growth across the firm’s national offices.

Based in London, David will work with both private client and corporate teams overseeing client development and focused on winning new business and expanding relationships with existing clients through cross‑selling.

He will lead a newly established client development team, with plans already underway to recruit three people in the Northern and Southern Regions as Saffery continues to invest in building a scalable, national approach to business development.

David has a particular expertise in the financial services sector, having spent over 20 years building strategic partnerships with wealth managers, financial planners, investment platforms and professional networks.

His appointment strengthens Saffery’s ability to serve the complex needs of financial services businesses and creates new opportunities for cross-referral partnerships with wealth management firms, advice networks and financial intermediaries.

David will report to Saffery’s Marketing and Business Development Director, Richard Crook, and work closely with the firm’s well-established marketing and business development team of 22.

Richard comments: “This is the first role of its kind at the firm and reflects our ambition to take a more joined‑up, national and sector led approach to client development. David brings strong experience in delivering sustainable growth. He will play a pivotal role in helping us build deeper relationships with clients and key referrers of work across the UK.”

“Saffery has a clear focus on growth, collaboration and building its national profile. I look forward to building a high‑performing team and working closely with colleagues across the firm to support clients and unlock new opportunities,” adds David.
