Nick Batiste and Helen Green of Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries have been listed in the new offshore category in the Spear’s 500 guide for 2021.
This is the first year that the Spear’s 500 has included a category dedicated to practitioners in the offshore services industry.
Nick Batiste, Managing Director of Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries, is listed in the offshore category as a ‘distinguished individual’ for his expertise in managing bespoke offshore structures often containing a range of complex assets, for both private and corporate clients. He is also recognised for his diverse client base including HNW families, entrepreneurs, and intra-generational family structures, with affairs spanning multiple jurisdictions.
Born and educated on the island, Nick joined the Guernsey office of Saffery Champness in 1992 before being appointed Managing Director in 2014.
Helen Green is a Director of Saffery Champness in Guernsey where she is responsible for client liaison.
Spear’s 500 describes Helen as ‘Best of Breed’ for her specialist expertise in the formation and management of offshore structures, and in recognition of her dedicated and diverse client base which she has built and retained across more than three decades at Saffery Champness, 21 years of which have been spent in the Guernsey office. She is also recognised for her experience acting as a trustee and director to various companies and for her role as court-appointed receiver in contentious trust and complex insolvency cases.
Launched in 2014, the Spear’s 500 guide profiles the top 500 professionals across the full spectrum of wealth management and private client practice in the UK and international market.
Nick Batiste, Managing Director at Saffery Champness in Guernsey, comments:
“Helen and I are very pleased to be listed in this highly regarded index of wealth management professionals, which has become a trusted resource for those with an interest in private client and wealth management services. It is especially rewarding to have been recognised in the guide’s inaugural offshore category. As the offshore industry evolves to meet the changing needs of clients, and in the face of the transformative disruption experienced around the world over the past year – which we reviewed in our recent report The Future of Offshore – we believe the role of offshore services and trusted advisers in providing security, reassurance and sound advice to individuals, families and their businesses has never been more important.”
