Saffery Champness team members get gold, silver and bronze at Citywealth Future Leaders Awards

Four accountants at Saffery Champness, from partner to manager level, were named in the 2019 Citywealth Future Leaders Awards, which champion young professionals in the wealth sector and highlight the leaders of today and tomorrow, under 40 years of age. The philosophy of the awards is to support future leaders who excel at work but who also make an important contribution to society.

David Sedgwick, a partner based in Saffery Champness’ Bristol office was awarded gold in the ‘Accountant of the Year – Partner’ category.

David joined the firm in 2008 as a trainee and became a partner in 2019. He is qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant and as a Chartered Tax Adviser and manages a diverse client base comprising owner-managed businesses, high net worth individuals and landed estates.

Leonora Stevens, a director based in Saffery Champness’ London office, was awarded silver in the ‘Accountant of the Year – Director’ category.

Leonora joined the firm in 2012. She advises high net worth individuals, wealthy families and partnerships, with a client base that ranges from landed estates, with their accompanying enterprises, to owner-managed businesses.

Lindsey Dean, an audit manager based in Saffery Champness’ Guernsey office, was awarded gold in the ‘Accountant of the Year – Manager’ category and Melissa Solly, a senior manager based in the London office was awarded bronze in the same category.

In Guernsey, Lindsey manages a diverse audit client portfolio which includes fiduciary, captive insurance, fund and Johannesburg Stock Exchange listed structures. She is part of the team that provides voluntary liquidation services to Guernsey, British Virgin Island and Cayman domiciled entities. Lindsey also manages a number of accounts preparation engagements and provides accountancy support to clients.

Melissa joined Saffery Champness’ London office in 2018 as a senior manager. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser with a diverse portfolio of clients including UK and offshore trusts, high net worth families and landed estates. She deals with all aspects of their affairs, including their accounting and tax compliance as well as providing tax and strategic advice.
