Saffery Champness has been appointed by Utility Point to look after all aspects of its audit, accounting and taxation affairs and help the business through its next growth phase.

Utility Point provides domestic gas and electricity to over 150,000 households across the UK, and has achieved significant levels of year on year growth.

Bournemouth-based partner, Jamie Lane, commented:

“With a key focus on high growth entrepreneurial businesses, we are pleased to be partnering with the owners of Utility Point, Ben Bolt and Simon Yarwood, to work with them on the next stage in their exciting journey. The company is not only growing its customer base at a high rate, but also continues to grow as a key employer in Poole. Ben and Simon are incredibly entrepreneurial and I believe that the high quality service and proactive approach to client care were key drivers of the decision to move to Saffery Champness.”

Utility Point founder and CFO Simon Yarwood commented:

“It is great for the business to be working with Saffery Champness, who undoubtedly have the skills and expertise to work alongside the management team at Utility Point. I look forward to working closely with Jamie and the team as we embark upon our next exciting phase of growth.”
