Daniel Wiseman and Nihal Uddin from Saffery in High Wycombe recently brought together local businesses for a charity six-a-side football tournament in memory of colleague, Toby Wood.
The Saffery Sixes Charity Football Tournament took place at Redgrave Sports Centre in Marlow, offering a day of competitive football, fundraising and family fun. Teams representing Saffery’s High Wycombe, Bournemouth and Peterborough offices competed alongside B P Collins, Dux Advisory Ltd, IQ Glass and MHA.
Following an exciting tournament, MHA defeated Saffery Peterborough in the final to lift the trophy.
MHA’s Harry Hudson was named Top Goal Scorer, while teammate Finley Turner received the Golden Glove award. Zac Hope of Saffery Peterborough was recognised as Player of the Tournament.
The event raised funds for Active Oxfordshire and its Access Sport programme, which helps more children and young people benefit from opportunities to participate in sport.
Nihal Uddin from Saffery said, “It was a privilege to bring colleagues, fellow professionals and members of the local business community together in memory of Toby. The tournament was a fantastic opportunity to enjoy some competitive football, while supporting a cause that creates meaningful opportunities for young people.
Daniel Wiseman added, “We would like to thank every player, supporter and business who helped make the day such a success. We hope to build on this year’s event and welcome everyone back for another tournament next year.”
