Saffery Trust Cayman has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of two Associate Directors, underscoring the firm’s ongoing commitment to strategic growth and deepening its in-house expertise in the region.
Jessica Turnbull has joined as Associate Director of Compliance, a newly created role that marks a significant step in Saffery Trust’s long-term strategy to develop and embed a dedicated in-house compliance and risk function within its Cayman operations. This move reflects the firm’s continued investment in maintaining the highest regulatory standards, as well as its commitment to delivering seamless bespoke client services.
A chartered accountant and certified anti-money laundering and global sanctions specialist, Jessica brings nearly two decades of experience in the financial sector. She said:
“Saffery Trust has an excellent reputation both as a service provider and an employer in Cayman. The decision to bring the compliance and risk functions in-house offered me the opportunity to help shape and lead this important function from the ground up, ensuring we maintain the highest standards while supporting the firm’s growth. I’m excited to work with the team to deliver practical, client-focused compliance solutions that strengthen our overall service offering.”
In addition, Aline Koitzsch-Shaboodien has joined the firm as Associate Director of Corporate and Shipping. She brings extensive expertise in corporate services, complemented by strong trust knowledge and qualification with the Cayman Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”). She said:
“Saffery Trust’s corporate service offering and corporate governance capabilities stand out within the industry for going above and beyond standard registered office services. The breadth of services really appealed to me, as it means I can be part of delivering truly tailored, high-quality solutions to clients. From my previous professional experience, I know what good client service looks like from the other side of the fence, and I look forward to contributing to Saffery Trust’s ongoing success and delivery of client service excellence.”
Saffery Trust Director Lee Hart said Jessica and Aline’s appointments were an important move for the award-winning firm.
“Since establishing a presence in the Cayman Islands in 2020, Saffery Trust has continued to invest in growth, innovation, and the depth of expertise we offer our clients. I am thrilled to welcome Jessica and Aline to the firm and have no doubt that they will strengthen our ability to deliver a first-class service to our individual, family, and corporate clients.”
