Employees based in Guernsey have the opportunity to access a variety of benefits as standard, which include:
  • Annual Discretionary bonus – profit related and based on performance, paid in July.
  • Comprehensive Health cover – AXA PPP ultimate level cover for staff member and their dependents.
  • Flexitime – based on a 35-hour week.
  • Training Provision – financial support and paid study leave (eligible after probationary period).
  • Holidays – 25 days as standard, extra day after 2 years of employment and each year after, to a maximum of 30 days. Managers start on 28 days and increase to a maximum of 33 days.
  • Shopping vouchers – to the value of £600, issued each December.
  • Pension – 7% (10% Managers) of salary will be paid into the firm’s Guernsey pension scheme (eligible after probationary period).
  • Life Assurance – 3 x salary (4 x for Managers).
  • Car Parking – allocated on a length of service basis, parking is frequently available for those staff members without a designated space through our deputy system
  • Overtime – all staff up to manager level will be paid for agreed overtime worked, or have the option to take time off in lieu in accordance with our flexi-time procedures.
  • Referral bonus – awarded to employees that source new clients or staff members

Flexible benefits

We are also in the process of developing a hybrid working policy, which will provide staff with further opportunity to work both flexibility and remotely.

Well-being support

At Saffery Trust, our staff have 24/7 access to an Employee Assistance Programme (LifeWorks), which offers support, guidance and resources to help support mental and physical health, as well as offering discounts across a variety of products and high street stores.

In-house Saffery Trust offers a quarterly well-being programme which focuses on different themes and is designed to provide staff with access to an assortment of resources, as well as the opportunity to attend wellness inspired events throughout the year. To date has included internal social events and visits from local charities, medical professionals and wellness coaches. This ongoing initiative aims to raise awareness within the workplace about a range of factors which can influence our well-being, in addition to promoting ways that we can take responsibility as individuals and as a firm in helping to achieve a more balanced lifestyle.

The sports and social team offer a variety of events throughout the year which allow colleagues from all different teams to get to know each other better and develop their working relationships.
