As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, Saffery Trust Guernsey has selected Senior Administrator Nathan Le Tissier as the recipient of its 2025 staff sponsorship award.

A talented cricketer who first started played aged 11, Nathan has been an active member of the Guernsey Cricket community for many years. After battling a knee injury earlier in the season which required extensive physiotherapy, Nathan has now returned to the pitch and is keen to contribute to what he hopes will be a successful year for Guernsey cricket.

Nathan said: “The camaraderie is what I enjoy most about cricket. It’s a great social sport and there’s nothing better than being out on the field with your teammates, all working together toward a common goal.”

This season promises to be a big one for Nathan and the team, with Guernsey qualifying for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Regional Final, currently taking place in the Netherlands. A successful run there could see the team progress toward the 2026 T20 World Cup. Plans are also underway for Guernsey to host Kenya in August, representing another exciting opportunity.

Nathan’s personal goal is to solidify his place in the team after recovering from injury and said the firm’s sponsorship will support him in this next stage of his cricketing journey. “I am very grateful to be this year’s recipient of the Saffery Trust Guernsey staff sponsorship, which will help contribute to travel and accommodation costs for the season.”

Saffery Trust Managing Director, Nick Batiste, said:

“Nathan’s dedication to teamwork, perseverance, and excellence mirror many of the values we uphold at Saffery Trust. We look forward to following Nathan’s success throughout the season.”
