Carolyn is a VAT specialist with more than 25 years’ experience advising clients on complex VAT matters.
Having started her career as a graduate trainee, she has worked with organisations across a wide range of sectors and has particular expertise in advising charities, not-for-profit organisations, educational institutions, and health and care providers.
Carolyn combines deep technical expertise with a practical understanding of the challenges her clients face, helping them manage VAT risk, maximise VAT efficiency and meet their compliance obligations.

- Advising on VAT partial exemption and business/non-business methodologies,
- Adding value by helping clients achieve VAT savings by accessing applicable reliefs and maximising their VAT recovery position,
- Supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and inspections, disputes and VAT litigation,
- Advising on VAT liability issues, VAT compliance, processes and controls and carrying out VAT reviews and risk assessments,
- Delivering training sessions and presenting on VAT developments and sector-specific issues.
