Chris has over 20 years’ experience of dealing with private client tax issues. He joined Saffery Champness as a partner in June 2021.
ATT and CTA qualified, Chris works with high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and their families, advising on issues such as succession planning and the tax efficient structuring of investments and transactions.
He also supports business owners, entrepreneurs and land owners, advising them on personal and business tax issues including business structuring, profit extraction and maximising tax reliefs.
- Advising wealthy families on the setting up and running of long term, tax efficient investment holding structures.
- Advising UK and non-UK resident families and family offices on appropriate ownership structures for UK commercial and residential property.
- Providing tax advice to business owners and management teams in respect of sale of privately owned businesses and other corporate reorganisations.
- Assisting individuals, trustees and families with HM Revenue & Customs enquiries and investigations to ensure matters are dealt with as cost-effectively and pragmatically as possible.
Chris is married with two children and lives in North Leeds. In his spare time he enjoys cycling and hill walking.
