Clare has over 25 year of personal tax experience and specialises in tax for private clients, dealing with a varied mix of clients, but with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, wealthy entrepreneurs, and individuals with overseas interests and residence queries.
Clare also provides support to the partners on technical aspects and tax planning.
Clare joined Saffery in 2009 having worked in several firms and has previous experience of working for HM Revenue and Customs.

- UK tax compliance, including complex tax returns for individuals,
- Advising individuals on their UK tax residence status, including those looking to leave the UK and cease UK residence,
- Advising individuals and families on the UK tax implications of relocating to the UK and steps to be taken in advance.
- Advising former users of the remittance basis of taxation, including in respect of remittances of historic income and capital gains,
- Dealing with HMRC enquiries,
- Advising on capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters.
Interests
Clare lives in Buckinghamshire and lives with her husband, adult son and three cats. Outside of work, Clare enjoys, travelling, reading, theatre/movies and swimming.
