David has a dual focus on taxation and business transactions and the taxation of not-for-profit entities.
His work in the business and corporate sector includes advising on corporate reconstructions and company sales and acquisitions, taxation due diligence and cross-border transactions and structures.
His work with charities includes advising on Gift Aid initiatives and tax-efficient giving as well as tax matters relating to charities’ commercial operations and the use of trading subsidiaries, where his corporate experience enables him to bring a commercial awareness to his charity and not-for-profit clients.

- Advising on company share sales and acquisitions, including taxation due diligence.
- Advising on overseas corporate structures in conjunction with Nexia associates, including the acquisition of overseas subsidiaries by UK companies and taxation on the repatriation of overseas profits.
- Tax issues relating to the acquisition of commercial property, including advising on claims for capital allowances.
- Advising charities on Gift Aid and direct tax issues relating to trading and property transactions
