Emma Robinson

Emma is a Chartered Tax Advisor specialising in private clients, trusts and estates.

She looks after a mixed portfolio of clients including landed estates, high net worth individuals and those with international aspects to their affairs, including offshore trusts.

Emma is a member of our firm’s Trust Forum and the Bristol branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation committee.

She presents at internal events including the firmwide tax conference and training sessions.

Emma joined Saffery in 2021 and her prior experience includes a top ten firm and an international bank.


Key experience

  • Advising on structuring options for the purchase of a farm and holiday accommodation,
  • Providing advice on the tax implications of leaving the UK, taking into account multiple investments and business interests,
  • Dealing with complex HMRC enquiries,
  • Advising on succession planning including the use of trusts and tax efficient options for passing wealth to the next generation,
  • Calculating relevant income and stockpiled gains pools for complex offshore trusts.

Interests

Emma lives near Dursley in Gloucestershire with her daughter. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her horse and competing locally, reading and listening to podcasts. She is a former member of the Territorial Army and served for ten years with the Royal Signals.
