Paul is the managing director of Saffery Champness in Switzerland and is a qualified accountant and STEP practitioner. Whilst being responsible for the office’s growth and management, he is also responsible for a team dealing with a wide range of offshore structures for a portfolio of high net worth clients. These structures include reserved power trusts, fully discretionary trusts, standalone companies, private trust companies and everything in between.
Paul has a particular interest in the property markets, be it development, residential or commercial, UK or international, and endeavours to find suitable transactions for clients that express an interest in purchases or sales.
Paul also has a focus on clients from the Middle East and Africa, travelling regularly to these regions and providing solutions for these clients, especially in areas of succession planning, working with the next generation to educate them and ensure the family values are passed on to the next generation.
Paul regularly works with family offices and other trust companies, assisting with accounting projects or ongoing financial or investment reporting to provide up to date and relevant material for those who need to be aware of such matters.
Having begun his career as a trainee in the Guernsey office in 2000, Paul held various positions within the firm and moved to Switzerland to join the Geneva office when it opened in 2008. After a short period in a private bank trust company, Paul returned to Saffery Champness in 2012, becoming Managing Director in Switzerland in 2017.

- Advising international clients on solutions for tax, succession planning and asset protection that will ensure family wealth is safeguarded for future generations.
- Providing financial information to individuals, family offices and trustees in a format that is relevant and understandable to the individuals involved.
- Providing structuring services for a wide range of entities holding diverse assets, including real estate, investment portfolios, aircraft, chattels and yachts.
Outside work, Paul’s main activity is to try to keep up with the younger generation of Swiss badminton players. He is also a keen football player and fan, enjoys skiing, travelling and is generally a sports enthusiast.
