Bowling and networking in the summer sunshine

Saffery and Handelsbanken jointly hosted a lively and enjoyable bowling event at the Argyll Bowling Club on Bournemouth’s West Overcliff, making the most of the glorious July sunshine.

More than 40 individuals from a range of local businesses gathered for the afternoon, combining the friendly rivalry of a bowling contest with valuable networking opportunities. Guests were divided into teams and guided by experienced Argyll Club officials, who shared expert tips and helped newcomers get to grips with the game.

Events like this are a great way to strengthen relationships, share a few laughs, and enjoy some friendly competition. We’re very grateful to Argyll Bowling Club for their warm hospitality and expert guidance—we certainly all learnt something new, including that the Umpire is always right!”

Alex Newey, Branch Manager at Handelsbanken Bournemouth, added: “The weather was a marked improvement on last year, and the atmosphere was brilliant. After the final bowls were played, we rounded off the day with cream tea and prosecco—an excellent way to celebrate a great afternoon with great company.”
