Saffery Trust Guernsey Associate Director Simon Ricketts and Assistant Manager Josephine Champion have been named in the 2025 eprivateclient Crown Dependencies NextGen Leaders list. This marks Simon’s second appearance, having also featured in the 2023 list, while Josephine has been named for the first time.

The peer-nominated list recognises “rising stars” with 15 years or less experience within the private client sector. Nominees are assessed by a judging panel based on their career trajectory and achievements, as well as the reputation and performance of their firm. As a multi-award-winning firm, Saffery Trust is recognised as a leading organisation within the industry.

As a former senior leader within education, Simon’s skillset integrated seamlessly into a trust and corporate services role following a career change at the age of 34. Recognising his aptitude for client service, mentoring, and complex problem solving, Simon’s progression was fast-tracked from an entry-level position to Associate Director over 10 years.

Josephine was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2024 in recognition of her technical ability and business acumen, as well as her positive work ethic and enthusiasm. Josephine’s recognition in this year’s list also reflects her role in a highly technical re-structuring for a UK-based client over the last 12 months.

Saffery Trust Managing Director, Nick Batiste, said:

“Both Simon and Josephine are highly deserving of this recognition. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to delivering client service excellence reflect the values we strive for at Saffery Trust. It’s fantastic to see their contributions acknowledged at an industry level, and we’re proud to support their continued growth and success.”
