Spear’s 500 recognition for Saffery Trust professionals

13 Oct 2022

Two Saffery Trust professionals have been recognised in the Spear’s 500 Tax & Trust Advisers Index 2022.

Launched in 2014, the Spear’s 500 has become Europe’s most respected guide to the top private client advisers and service-providers for high-net-worth individuals. With research and rankings based on client and peer testimonials, editorial research, and face to face interviews, it has established itself as an indispensable resource, found in the private offices and homes of the wealthiest individuals and families. Within each category Spear’s ranks three core tiers of advisers: Top Ten/Top Flight, Top Recommended and Recommended.

Managing Director Nick Batiste and Director Helen Green were ranked as “top recommended” in the ‘Top Offshore Experts‘ category following a stringent review of peer nominations, client feedback, interviews and information gathered by the Spear’s editorial and research teams.

Nick Batiste said the recognition was a testament to decades of experience gained across the firm’s teams in the Channel Islands, Cayman Islands, Dubai and Switzerland.

“Saffery Trust’s distinctive independent structure means we are not restricted in exploring any opportunity for our clients. This autonomy has allowed us to attain expertise across a broad-spectrum and engage with an extensive global network of specialists,” he said.

With over 30 years’ industry experience, Nick said it was important for service providers to keep abreast of the changing needs of high-net-worth individuals.

Helen Green added that the inclusion in the Spear’s index extended to the firm’s wider team.

“While Nick and I are, of course, honoured to have been recognised as Top Offshore Experts, it is thanks to all the Saffery Trust team members across our four jurisdictions. Client service is a cornerstone of our operations and it is something that we see at the forefront of our team on a daily basis. We work in partnership with our clients to understand their interests and objectives. We then tailor our services to best fulfil the needs of those clients, which can often include multi-structure and multi-jurisdictional solutions.”

Helen is a leading figure in Guernsey on issues relating to private client and trust matters and has over 30 years industry experience. Helen heads up teams that specialise in the formation and management of trust and company structures for both private and corporate high net worth clients.
