Saffery Trust Guernsey Manager, Zac Hanley, has been named in the 2024 eprivateclient Crown Dependencies Next Gen Leaders list.

Zac was nominated by their peers across industry for showing a promising career trajectory, demonstrating high levels of experience and expertise, and for promoting the core values of the private client firm.

His inclusion in the 2024 list marks a repeat listing for Zac who featured previously in what was formerly known as eprivateclient’s “Top 35 under 35”.

The list was reinvented last year to be more inclusive and better reflect evolving trends in the modern workplace. Instead of emphasising age, the list now considers years of service. This year, the initiative has further evolved to acknowledge the significant contributions of young practitioners in all three Crown Dependencies – Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Jersey –in shaping the global private wealth sector.

After joining Saffery Trust as a Trainee Administrator in 2011, Zac swiftly progressed through the ranks, becoming the Guernsey office’s youngest manager in 2022. He leads a team specialising in dealing with non-standard assets and is highly experienced in contentious matters. Alongside advancing his career, Zac also demonstrated a strong academic aptitude, qualifying as a Chartered Company Secretary and attaining a master’s degree in Corporate Governance with the support of the firm.

Saffery Trust Managing Director, Nick Batiste, said:

“Zac exemplifies the qualities of outstanding leadership – personable, dedicated and experienced. Our people are fundamental to the delivery of our first-class service and to our reputation as a leading firm within industry and it is important for us to nurture the next generation of professionals. Zac’s inclusion on this list is well-deserved and we are proud to support him as he continues to excel as Next Gen Leaders.”
