Niraj is head of the firm’s Corporate Finance Team and has considerable experience in advising clients on a range of transaction support and business advisory assignments. These include acting as reporting accountant on AIM admissions, pre-bank lending support and financial due diligence for trade acquisitions or private equity investments.
Niraj has worked with clients across a range of sectors and also has experience in cross-border transactions, working closely with our Nexia associates.
Niraj typically advises on transactions that involve owner-managed businesses that range between £2 million and £50 million in deal value.
The Corporate Finance Team also carries out business valuation work for a variety of different purposes and acts as lead adviser for both public and private company mergers and acquisitions.
Niraj joined Saffery after graduating from the London School of Economics in 2000 and trained with the firm within its Business Advisory Group. He joined the Corporate Finance Team in 2004 and was one of the first to gain the highly regarded Corporate Finance Qualification.

- Providing bank lending support, including a pre-lending review to support a management buy-out of a high-end homeware supply business; independent business review (IBR) of a large independent food supply business; IBR support in respect of a small group of hotels; a pre-lending review to support the provision of a revolving facility to a music publishing business; and a music catalogue valuation to support the provision of acquisition finance.
Interests
Niraj is married with two young children and lives in Surrey. He enjoys spending time with family and friends. Where time permits, he enjoys watching a variety of sport and is particularly passionate in following football, cricket and Formula 1.
