Saffery has advised British multinational entertainment group, Trafalgar Entertainment, on its acquisition of the London Theatre Company. The transaction includes The Bridge Theatre, Lightroom and subsidiary companies.
Co-founded by Sir Howard Panter and Dame Rosemary Squire in 2017, Trafalgar Entertainment aims to continue to grow the scale, reach and ambition of the London theatre scene, and to create the next evolution of The Bridge Theatre’s position as one of the capital’s most innovative and cultural landmarks.
The Saffery team was led by key client partner Seb Cartwright who was supported by Will Hodges to provide financial due diligence and transaction advice. Zoe Thomas and David Humphrys led on tax structuring and due diligence.
This is the second transaction where Saffery has supported Trafalgar Entertainment, having previously advised on the acquisition of UK pantomime producer Imagine Theatre in 2023.
Saffery’s specialist, national transaction services team provide comprehensive support to businesses, investors and funders across a range of transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, debt raising and exit planning. The team supports SMEs and owner-managed businesses throughout the UK and internationally, particularly for clients who have UK interests.
