Saffery strengthens new client development team with two further appointments
Saffery continues to invest in building out its client development team with two experienced professionals.
Following the appointment of David Melloy as head of client development in April, Emma Lane joins as head of client development, South, while Tom Williams will be client development manager, North. Emma and Tom will work closely with David in the newly created team designed to drive growth across the firm’s national offices.
Based in Bournemouth, Emma brings more than 20 years’ experience across banking, fintech, financial services and professional services. She specialises in helping organisations grow through strategic partnerships, commercial development, customer-focused transformation and strong relationship management.
Emma previously held senior leadership roles at Moneycorp, Allica Bank, AIB, Lloyds Bank and Barclays, working across business development, client relationship management, commercial banking, risk, transformation and partnerships.
Based in Saffery’s Leeds office with a remit for Northern regions, Tom brings more than a decade of commercial and business development experience across professional services and client-focused industries. Most recently at national law firm Freeths LLP, he led business development activity across multiple service lines and sectors, working closely with partners to identify growth opportunities, strengthen intermediary and referrer relationships and support revenue growth.
He has expertise in developing strategic referral networks, client relationship management and sector-led growth initiatives, with experience spanning the energy and real estate sectors. Throughout his career, he has worked with senior stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities, drive cross-selling initiatives and deliver targeted business development.
Saffery’s marketing and business development director, Richard Crook, commented on the appointments: “Both Emma and Tom bring a wealth of experience in client development, relationship building and commercial growth. Working closely with David, our new client development team will strengthen our ability to deepen client relationships, identify new opportunities and support the firm’s continued growth across our key markets.”
