Five Saffery partners have been recognised again in the prestigious Spear’s 500 Tax & Trust Index 2025 under the Accountants and Tax Advisers category.

Published annually since 2014, Spear’s 500 guides are widely regarded as Europe’s leading guide to advisers serving high-net-worth individuals and families. Rankings are informed by client and peer testimonials, firm-supplied data, editorial research, and face-to-face interviews.

In the Index categorises advisers across three core tiers: Top Flight (the top 10), Top Recommended, and Recommended.

Saffery partners listed in 2026:

James Hender (London) achieves the Top Flight ranking for the tenth year in a row. James advises entrepreneurs, business owners, wealthy individuals and families on complex financial and personal matters, combining technical expertise with practical judgement to help them navigate change, protect wealth and plan for the future.

Robert Mace (London) has been recognised with a Top Recommended ranking again. Since joining Saffery in 2004, he has developed a broad client base, with a core focus on advising international private clients on complex UK tax affairs, often involving their family office and dynastic wealth structures. He is also a specialist in the taxation of cryptoassets.

James Sykes (London) has been awarded a Top Recommended ranking this year. James advises wealthy private clients, including families with landed estates and growing commercial enterprises, and also acts as a trustee for many of the families he advises.

Margi Campbell (Inverness) has been recognised in the Index for a six year in a row with a Recommended ranking. Margi provides advice and tax planning to a number of wealthy entrepreneurs, HNW individuals, professional partnerships, family businesses, and landed estate clients.

James Stevens (Peterborough) has been awarded a Recommended ranking again. One managing partner at Saffery speaks highly of Stevens’ expertise ‘in both domestic and international tax and trust issues’ and says that his skill set ‘aligns with our firm’s heritage, our clients’ evolving needs and the complex global regulatory environment they operate in’.
