Saffery Champness has been named Affiliate Member of the Year by the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) at its 2018 awards, celebrating best practice in the recruitment sector.
The Affiliate Member of the Year Award is given to the affiliate member that has most consistently demonstrated the professional values, exceptional performance and support of fellow members associated with APSCo membership, throughout the past 12 months.
The judges commented on Saffery Champness’ win: “This worthy winner provides integrated, holistic advice across various service lines and partners successfully with external companies. They focus strongly on the recruitment sector and have helped many APSCo members grow a successful business and keep it compliant. A strong entry [was submitted] based on the foundation of the APSCo values.”
Commenting on the event, Ann Swain, the Chief Executive of APSCo, said:
“These awards are now universally recognised as the most prestigious accolade in professional recruitment and are a unique indicator of standards throughout the sector and I’d like to thank everyone who made yesterday’s event such a blinding success: the judges, our sponsors and all who entered.”
“Feedback from the judges was once again overwhelmingly positive, and it is always a privilege to witness first-hand the outstanding examples of best practice and innovation that forward-thinking businesses share with us during the processes. The competition was stiff and all winners should feel extremely proud of their hard work and success in demonstrating a true and unwavering commitment to the ethos of APSCo.”
Simon Kite, head of the firm’s Recruitment Sector Team, commented:
“I was very pleased to accept the award. We have worked with APSCo members for many years now, helping recruitment business owners to grow and expand into new markets, incentivise their staff and remain complaint, among many other things. We have a team that has demonstrated time and time again that we understand the sector, the challenges our clients face, and we really can add value to recruitment businesses. This award reflects our commitment to the sector as a whole.”
