Saffery provided financial and tax advisory services to Spaldings, a leading distributor of agricultural and groundcare parts, in connection with its acquisition by Invicta Holdings Ltd, a JSE-listed South African investment group.

About the acquisition

The transaction marks a significant milestone for Lincoln-based Spaldings, which has seen strong growth since its carve-out from Marubeni Corporation in 2022. Under the stewardship of Inspirit Capital, the business quadrupled its earnings and is now well-positioned to continue its upward trajectory under Invicta’s ownership.

How we helped

Saffery worked closely with Spaldings and their exiting investor, Inspirit Capital, throughout the transaction, delivering robust financial and tax analysis to support the deal. The engagement was led by Hayley Brightmore-Cox, with support from Erin Berry from our transaction services team, and Chloe Thomas-Hui and Daniel Pope from our tax team.

We provide transaction support to clients across a range of sectors, whether that’s buying, selling, raising debt or preparing for exit. More information is available on previous transactions we have worked on.
