Saffery Champness has been appointed as auditor to The Tank Museum, a popular tourist attraction based in Bovington, Dorset.
The Tank Museum comprises a unique collection of over 300 vehicles, which includes the world’s first ever tank – ‘Little Willie’, the feared German Tiger tank and the modern Challenger 2, set across six large exhibition halls.
Nigel Ballard, Audit Senior Manager based in Saffery Champness’ Bournemouth office, commented:
“We are very pleased to have acquired The Tank Museum as a new client. They are a unique and well renowned Dorset tourist attraction and we’re proud to be working with them. They have an excellent reputation in Dorset and are extremely highly regarded as a visitor attraction.”
The Tank Museum’s proud boast is that of ‘bringing history to life’ with the world’s best collection of tanks and explosive live displays.
Richard Smith, Financial Director at the Tank Museum, commented:
“We are delighted to be working with Saffery Champness as our new audit partners. Their experience, breadth of service and local presence will be an aid to both our staff and trustees in taking The Tank Museum forward in our work, telling the stories of tanks and the people who served with them”.
