Malin Lundin

Malin leads one of the personal tax teams in the London office and advises high net worth individuals on their tax affairs. In particular, she focuses on advising non-domiciled individuals on their UK tax affairs, as well as the UK tax affairs of offshore structures with an emphasis on offshore trusts.

Malin began working in tax in 2007 and joined Saffery Champness in May 2018. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).


Key experience

  • Advising individuals on their domicile position and the use of the remittance basis, including remittance planning and the analysis of complex mixed funds.
    Tax planning for international clients who are arriving or leaving the UK, including advice in relation to the UK Statutory Residence Test, reviewing offshore structures and advising on bank account segregation.
  • Advising on the UK tax implications for UK resident beneficiaries and/or settlors of offshore trusts.
  • Assisting clients in bringing their UK tax compliance up-to-date, including disclosing prior non-compliance to HM Revenue & Customs.

Interests

Having spent a significant amount of her life involved in various team sports such as football and rugby, Malin is now trying to ease her way into ultra running.
