Rory is an Assistant Manager in the firm’s Business Advisory and Assurance Group in the London office. He manages a varied portfolio of corporate clients with a focus on music and entertainment.

He has accounting, statutory audit and management experience across an extensive range of industries including film & TV, music labels, recruitment, high-profile musicians, West End theatre productions, medical products and charities.

His is a member of the firm’s music marketing and client service teams, and contributes articles on topics within the music industry such as:

Key experience

  • Managing a portfolio of audit, accounts preparation and taxation clients across multiple industries, acting as relationship manager.
  • Delivering statutory audits of small to medium sized businesses, while being the key point of contact for the client, and taking opportunities to provide added value.
  • Communicating with international accountants, analysing and criticising their work to ensure high standards are met.
  • Analysing client systems and controls and summarising management letter points to recommend improvements to internal processes.
  • Working with high-profile music management individuals, organising and chairing meetings to drive progress on assignments.
  • Certifying income and expenditure of companies within the music industry. Verification of royalty income and music production costs, and the creation and presentation of certification reports for use in legal proceedings.
  • Audit and accounts preparation work for film, TV and video game production.

Rory is a skateboarder and founder of the University of Leeds skateboarding society. He is also a member of the London Wayfarers hockey club, competing in the Higgins Group London Hockey League.

An avid international music festival attendee and Glastonbury veteran, whilst also being a keen and experienced skier, having worked a full ski season in Whistler, Canada.
